ALL TECHS Advise; pre-assemble
your head gear (NO-FOG®, helmet, etc.) in doors
preferably in front of a mirror and learn how everything fits
prior to riding. Then afterwards,
you'll be able to dress quickly anywhere and ride comfortably
while having fun this winter!
Tech #L82 advises; if your going to
wear a balaclava with the NO-FOG®, pull down opening exposing
chin, do not cover your nose or wear the balaclava over our
mask.
Tech #283 advises; eyeglass wearers
reverse nose flaps as shown on product package and
sewn-in label for a performance nose seal. Call for additional assistance.
Tech #ZL1 advises; always flip
deflector up when not in use & use our cardboard packaging
insert or send a self addressed stamped envelope for one as they
are free for the asking. Also when using for the first time,
check to see that the front deflector is conforming to the
inside of your full-face helmet. And as a diagnostic tool for
later use.
Tech #L88 advises; carefully lay mask
and goggles over engine to warm while taking a break. Or keep
inside a breathable bag/pouch in your storage compartment during
a late season-type spring ride. You know...warm during the day
but cold and damp (fogging) during the evening ride home.
NO-FOG®'s are your insurance during a vacation away from home
against fog up.
Tech #427 advises; remember that
eyeglasses can fog through sweat/perspiration and wearing
cold eyeglasses on a warm face. This condition is not associated
with breath fogging and is a
separate issue not connected to breath fogging. See
additional info on this site.
Tech #L72 advises; wear NO-FOG® w/o
balaclava for the ultimate riding experience, but you'll need to
wear a turtleneck and a snowmobile jacket with high collar. Or
if your not into turtlenecks and like other shirts (T-shirts,
long john tops, sweatshirts, etc.) use our new #007DLN (long
neck mask).
Tech #Z28 advises; reposition Z-Strap™
in front of ears for additional comfort. Attach Velcro
anywhere to mask. Placing strap lower will also more firmly snug
up the mask. Try different
positions until you find a spot you like. If you experience a
section of ear discomfort, look inside helmet for proper
"ear pocket" clearance or as a last resort, slightly
trim the mask neoprene.....but not too much! Also try not wrapping
mask around face to tight.
Tech #331 advises, this is really a
no-brainer but remove the helmet chin screen so that all breath
"exits" outside bottom of helmet and of course remove
any helmet nose deflector.
Tech #327 advises; reposition Velcro
behind neck so that "hook" is not against your skin.
Tech #LT1 advises; wearing the #050 MX
headband. Practice in front of a mirror to cover exposed skin.
Some customers buy two and sew together a special shape just for
their unique head/facial features. Position headband slightly
higher on head before putting on helmet. This
method will (slide) headband down to just rest above eyebrows.
Also when wearing the #050 headband, you may elect not to wear
the upper red Z-Strap™ (personal preference).
Tech #396 advises; I would add to Tech
#LT1 that our MX Headbands (#050) are excellent
for just keeping the ears warm in winter anytime, anywhere! I
wear mine shoveling snow or
going to the store. There is not a warmer product on the market
for keeping the wind out and
they are light enough to store in any pocket.
Tech #302 advises; On our Thumb
Throttle II wrist wrap, for top performance try wearing leather gauntlet-style
gloves with an adjustable wrist strap.
Also you only need a slight amount of tension on the narrow
strap underneath palm to relieve thumb fatigue.
Tech #X33 advises; A really cool set-up
for people with wrist/thumb issues is using our very popular
Thumb Throttle II on your right hand and on the left hand our
MST/USA wrist wrap. Additionally, a lot of people wear both our right
and left hand MST/USA wraps AFTER THE RIDE, to help heal sore
muscle tissue for the next day of riding or going back to work,
typing on your computer, etc. Try it to see how good it feels, you'll be simply amazed.
